Name: Tamara Bircham
Clan: Malkavian
Player: NPC
Position: Primogen, Clan Malkavian
Apparent Age: Early 40's

Tamara Bircham, has assumed the seat of Primogen, after the traitor, Patrick Winchester, met his end. May he burn in a thousand angry hells.

The enigmatic, yet matronly Malkavian claims domain over all of Olde Towne Gaithersburg, and a small plot of land in Poolesville, where her "institute" is located.

Tamara, although assuming no status of her age, is known to have lived in the area for a hundred years, Before that, she is known to have come from Pennsylvania, where she announced herself to the prince of a small town known as King of Prussia, about 12 years before moving here.

Not much is known about her mortal life, though occasionally, she speaks about her husband, who was murdered by a few kindred. The loss shook her to her very core. It sent her to the brink of her own destruction, when her would be sire, pulled her back.

The Primogen considers knowledge to be one of the most valuable things in the universe. Fiction, non Fiction, Auto Biographies, you name it, She can find inspiration and meaning in it. Knowledge. Understanding. That is the key to immortality she says. The knowledge, to understand the end.

Mrs. Bircham Owns and operates a mental Institution devoted to the study of traumatic psychosis, and the advanced treatment thereof. Of course many assume that the real research done on site is far more… relevant.

The institute has suffered a series of outbreaks of hysteria over the years, from unconfirmed sources. The latest, and most devastating of these, has been a violent, self destructive psychotic rage that has swept the patients, and the staff, violence, and death ensued. The "unholy" destruction ceased when a lone man in a gray suit, is caught on camera, sweeping the asylum, and coolly, and cleanly executing all those he felt were tainted… or left alive.

Due to some unknown occurrence, the institute has become haunted. Ghosts, entities, both sentient and not (among other, more unspeakable things) have taken up residence in this blood stained prison. Some of the cell doors are still locked from the inside, their viewing windows stained with blood. One can only imagine what has happened… or is happening inside. Reports from the shroud of death being tangible, to corpses reanimating to deliver threats or warnings have come forth. Only Tamara, and Juan know why the institute was not leveled to make way for something less dangerous, like a rust metal scrap yard.

Not all ventures undertaken by the diligent hard working Primogen have fallen to such infamy though. Tamara, with help from the local Malkavians claiming Havens in Olde Towne, has opened up a rather prosperous Pub with a small kitchen. The Olde Towne Tavern is a three story high building (one of the tallest in Olde Towne) which includes a main floor, a VIP lounge in the back, an upper level (with another VIP section, roped off) and a modest outdoor patio for dining and relaxing. The structure boasts its own distillery, producing the highly successful; "Ambrosia Ale", and the small batch favorite, gaining a following; "Bathory Brew". The press kit claims the hint of ‘blood’ that customers taste in the oatmeal stout based concoction is: "A combination of superior fermentation processes, and specially designed, one of a kind, iron, and copper equipment."
…At least, that is what the other kindred hope.

Tamara has in the past closed off the borders to Olde Towne, Claiming interests of Clan Security, or for some reason or another. Only once has a kindred been slain for crossing the borders while her self imposed martial law is in effect. Usually offenders are more then happy to leave after speaking with a few Malkavians who inevitably swarm them when they arrive. It is worth pointing out however that the kindred that met final death, was showing hostile actions towards a prized ghoul, belonging to One of the residents of Olde Towne.

Tamara has shown great understanding of what she calls "the riddle of the world". She has proven to be a helpful source of usually correct information regarding all manners of things from spirits, to will workers, to demons. Her command of Kindred lore and history is astounding, and Malkavians, (and sometimes others) have come from as far as Georgia, just to ask her questions.

She is a usually warm, mildly eccentric woman, with a complex mind, a warm heart, and a subtle temper.
