St Mary’s
Or what is left of it.

Saint Mary’s Catholic school. The school was founded in 1910 under the direction of the local church. The community wanted a safe, and goodly place to raise their youngsters after a series of unfortunate incidences involving religiously motivated murders.

The school had remained squeaky clean until 1981 when Father McCabe took his own life. The notes he left in his journal regarding a few of the school’s pre-pubescent charges would have put him away had he not taken the ultimate step to avoid persecution.

An except form the time line:

“A Roman Catholic Cardinal is murdered and sacrificed to the dark gods in the bowels of St. Mary's.”

What that little note fails to mention is the 3 dozen children that died with the Cardinal. An infernal Kindred managed to impersonate a religious official, and wormed his way into the school. In preparation for the dark right he was attempting to perform, he murdered a few children, and cooked their organs in a stew, that was fed to the living children the night before the murder.

What happened between that meal, and the firefight in the boiler room of St. Mary’s between the diabolist vampire and a coterie of Kindred from the court is unknown. When they arrived, mutilated or bloodless bodies were strewn about the building, the nuns and priests were crucified on inverted crosses. One of the Father’s naked lower body was saved from exposure to the world, by the face of a child that had been nailed to the old mans crotch.

The scent of coppery blood and warm coal, and smoldering flesh.

The evil happening in the building that night was cut short by the hail of bullets. Stray fire sparked some sort of explosion in the basement of the Catholic school. Between the generators, the boilers, and the propane line… it’s a wonder any of the vampires made it out alive.

It is assumed all present in the school that night died swiftly… if they were lucky.

Where St. Mary’s once stood, there is now a pile of rubble, and a crater. It is said that local occultists use the area to draw energy for a myriad of rituals. Necromancer Gerard Hoessie, refuses to step foot on the site.

Since the first semester of instruction at St. Mary’s it has graduated over 10,000 children.

The tragedy in 2005 claimed an assumed 130 souls. It is said assumed because not all the bodies could be found or identified.

Most of the families of the victims that were local have since moved away, were committed, or killed themselves.
