The Rack
Where Kindred Dine.

Bars, coffee houses, nightclubs, any place where mortals gather to let their guard down in mass, the Kindred go to feed. A rack is defined as an area, where a series of these places can be found within short walking distance of one another. The proximity of usually inebriated humans, coupled with dark smoky rooms and unlit alleys, create the ideal hunting ground.

Sometimes a "Rack" is considered a single bar or nightclub where sufficient numbers of Kine are present, to support more then one Kindred at a time. A few of these places exist in the area, some of the local hot spots that make up the Rack’s are owned by Kindred, most notably the Brujah, and the Toreador. Sobekenti operates the Hippo Club just on the other side of the line in Washington DC. Geoff, Dietrich, and Rose control a set of four bars in Wheaton, A BDSM club, a rock and roll bar, and two sports bars.

Because of the potential for masquerade breeches around the Racks, the Kindred must be on the top of their game when they hunt. The slightest misstep could be disastrous. The Racks are constantly patrolled by ghouls, the Scourge Tanner Valmont and his assistant Ness. Risks to the Masquerade are handled swiftly, and… permanently.
